Some autonomies and local entities offer direct grants for the installation of self-consumption solar panels.
IBI and ICIO bonus
If you are interested in installing solar panels for your home, it is important to know that you can benefit from a reduction of up to 50% of the IBI, depending on the City Council and the type of property. You can also reduce the ICIO by up to 95%.
Keep in mind that the IBI is applied to all properties, so you can also benefit from installing solar panels in your neighborhood community.
Bonus in IRPF
Another type of bonus to install solar panels for your home is the personal income tax deduction. This reduction can be requested when making the income statement and can even be 20% of the amount you have invested in your self-consumption photovoltaic system.
Grants from Autonomous Communities
A third way to obtain subsidies when installing solar panels at home is regional aid, although not all of them offer them and they are usually subject to different calls.
The conditions for accessing the subsidies depend on each Community, although the greatest bonus is that of the IBI: for example, in the Valencian Community, 72% of the population can benefit from this aid.
